Water Safety Tips

Tip #1: Never go swimming alone. No matter your experience or skill level, accidents can always happen. Be safe and swim with a buddy!

Tip #2: Reach or throw, don’t go. If you encounter someone struggling in the water, if you are not trained in aquatics rescue, it is best to reach or thrown something that floats to the struggling person, and find someone who can help.

Tip #3: Be aware. Being aware of your surroundings and situational awareness can often be the easiest safety measure.

Tip #4: Slow it down. There should never been running around a pool and all safety signage should be followed.

Tip #5: Learn to swim. Learning to swim not only makes you safer, but opens up many avenues of enjoyment both in and around water.
